- Answer You can send texts but it wouldn't be displayed till you close it. The message is visible only for a few seconds.

- Answer It doesn’t have a camera, at least not one for video (there’s a ‘shadow sensor’ to detect activity, but not for eaves dropping). I wanted to use it for video calling, but it can only function as an assistant with display.

- Answer The photos you would like to have on your nest hub would need to be in a album on Google Photos, then in the Google Home app you would go to the nest hub and change the wallpaper to that album in google photos.

- Answer Unfortunately, no. Ring is through Amazon, and Amazon and Google appear to have chosen not to play nicely together. Hopefully some day they'll learn how to make better choices and work together in harmony. The Amazon Echo Show is a similar product to the Google Nest Hub and is compatible with Ring.
