Yes you can use it to access the internet for a singular device. However if you are expecting to connect multiple devices, such as cellphones, TVs and Amazon devices. A:AnswerThis modem requires a CAT5 IP Cable connection. It does not have a WI FI transmitter built in. Your router may provide that functionality, many do.
I am not familiar with Sparklight, but generally if the input from your ISP comes over a coax cable, I would think it is likely that this will work.
