A:AnswerCall Netgear and they will help you setup your extender without a charge. I think you are covered for 90 days. They will show you how to upgrade your firmware.
A:AnswerIt should be located on a sticker on the unit. Said sticker should also have the password and the MAC address on there. Just make certain to look for "Serial No.", "SN" or some such identifying nomenclature. Hope this helps! Thx!
A:AnswerYes, with the two antennas, this extender has great pulling power and you should receive a nice, strong, and steady connection. My situation is the reverse - my modem/router is in the basement and devices in the far opposite corner couldn't get a good connection, but with the AC1200, it's very good.
A:AnswerOnly if you have a weak router. If your on a internet plan/service that doesn't have at decent (19-25 or more)Mbs of data rate then it's probably your service. My wifi router without the signal booster only reached my living room an kitchen @ 21 Mbs with it reaches my garage an rooms @ 27Mbs. I have the "cheaper" internet At&t provids to my area. Run a speed test on Google on your computer or phone.
