QuestionDo you have to have a cell phone app to install this router? Also, we have Sparklight with an Arris-F302 modem. Will this router work? And one more question. I use a CAt-6 cable to hook up my sister's computer to our router, can I still do this?

- Answer You do NOT need a cell phone to install or use this router. You can use this router with any modem that has an Ethernet Out port. Yes, you can still connect wired devices to this router.

Questionsorry might be a silly question. but can i use this sort of like a hotspot like my OWN wifi or does it have to be connected to wifi in order to work & if so, does the wifi have to be strong that its connected to?

- Answer This router has a whole section of its configuration page (accessible by either browser or app when connected to its network) dedicated to hotspot use (it calls this bridge mode). The wifi it connects to has to be strong enough to reach the router, but not any stronger.

QuestionIs this router able to can figure a device manually to either 5 Mhzor 2.4 MHz. I have an HP printer that will not configure with my current router which auto syncs between the two speeds. I need a router that I can manually set 2.4 to the printer.

- Answer Depends on what you are connecting. I use my iPhone 13 pro max on AT&T for hot spot for work sometimes and connection is solid, but it’s 5g. My wife uses her 11 pro max on 4g and it tends to cut out more, but still solid when it works. If you are connection one device should be good but if you plan to download think another router. On your second question, you will know if you only have one box from AT&T if so it is a modem/router combo, which is what they usually give to customer.

- Answer I have AT&T wireless and use calling over WI-FI and haven’t noticed any problems. I don’t have AT&T internet though.

- Answer If I understand you correctly you do NOT have internet access. If this is the case then no; this will not 'obtain' it for you. Think of this as hooking up a faucet to your sink. Without water, there would be no 'flow', the same here. Without some kind of connectivity (network, Cable, fiber-optic, phone line, broadband, etc.) the router will not work.

QuestionHello, I am working with a school, in one of the rooms has terrible wifi, behind several walls. The room does have ethernet port. Can I plug this router into the ethernet, and have it act like a repeater, using the same wifi credentials network name ?

- Answer I don’t know how your school’s network is configured, but it can be used in Access Point mode from an ethernet connection to connect to a network (which is way better than a repeater). You would probably want to create a new WiFi network name though since I assume it would not be part of the school’s centrally managed network.
