A:AnswerIt sure can but just know if you live in a big two story home, this modem doesn't extend everywhere. I have issues with the modem working upstairs if I leave it hooked up downstairs.
A:AnswerYes, it supports WI-FI and LAN (only 2 LAN ports though so you may need a secondary hub if you need more than 2 devices hardwired into the LAN).
A:AnswerParental Controls and Guess Access are two different controls. The Netgear N600 Dual-Band Wireless-N Router with Built-in Cable Modem will allow you to control all the items you stated and more from the Access control panel when you set the router up. You will only have to do it once.
A:AnswerI bought mine for vyve internet and my cell phone coverage. (I’ve piggy backed a mobile cell booster onto this modem. My cell service at my home has never been better) I checked all the specs for this and another model, I prefer internet speed performance versus how many devices I can connect and decided this model. Yes this one should work with both cox & DTV with no problem. I currently keep 5 of my devices connected through WiFi with no issues. I’ve used it with a cat-7 with great results also. If you think you might need more USB port just connect USB Hub, they work great. I Hope this helps.
A:AnswerWe just bought the Netgear N600 Cable Modem Router from Best Buy 3 weeks ago and, yes, the small print Model info on box reads"Model C3700v2". It is up and running well on Spectrum.
A:AnswerI'm not sure what you mean by WiFi system..I'm not a super tech genius, but if you already have both a router and a modem you don't need to buy another one. You generally HAVE to BUY access to Wi-Fi--the ability to go on the internet at all--from an internet service provider. After you have everything you need, you can set up a private "home network" in addition to a "public network" on the Wi-Fi you receive through your selected provider if you'd like. You MUST have a modem AND a router to connect to Wi-Fi to begin with and the internet service provider provides the channel through which your Wi-Fi becomes useful and gives you actual access to the internet. It's like with you have a TV. You either need equipment to connect to it (like a modem and router do for your Wi-Fi) to watch movies on it and/or you need to pay for the channels (like your internet service provider) of TV you want to watch. Otherwise, your TV is just a useless electric box. Also, with smart tvs now, you STILL need connection to the internet and will still need a modem, router AND internet service provider. The Netgear modem/router combo is really convenient, because you only need to buy the one box for both functions, but you still need to choose an internet provider. Hope I helped at all..good luck!
