QuestionI was reading the setup instructions for another brand...plug into wall, plug computer or laptop into extender, then use yet another wireless device to go to a website to activate. Is yours any easier (I do not have another wireless device) ?

Questionmy computer is at the edge of my wifi connection there are no outlets in the middle only next to my desktop or next to the modem will this work for me ? also how well does signal pass through plaster walls of a house?

- Answer You don't need an additional router. Just the standard set up of modem and router, you will sync the extender closer to your current router and then move the extender to the room where you need better coverage.

QuestionHow far (distance) does this extender cover?

- Answer I have it installed in the garage about 20 feet away from the router. The signal must pass through 2 walls. The communication is very good considering that is transferring video signal from a wired security camera. I can control and pan the camera and it responds with a little delay, almost unnoticeable.

- Answer It will work with Xfinity. The ISP doesn't matter, it creates a second WiFi signal after you connect to your existing router. It has worked great for me. You will need to connect to the new WiFi signal it creates for your devices that are currently getting weak signals.

- Answer Yes, We have the same situation. We actually use google chrome and we have the Ring bell where signal was poor due to the location of our router. It works great!

QuestionMy ISP is Hawaiian Telcom, and I use an AirPort Time Capsule as my router. Will the N300 boost the strength of my connection in rooms where I usually have a good (never excellent) wi-fi connection but sometimes get a "weak internet connection" message?

- Answer This is exactly the reason we bought ours and it really works well. Our TV was in a 'weak' area about 100 ft and 2 walls from the router. When we plugged it in, our signal went from mid-range to full strength. On our extender is a TV, 2 laptops, 2 picture frames, and no problems.

- Answer I'm no guru but common sense tells me I'm pretty sure it will work with any equipment. It's like me bringing my phone into your house and asking you if i could connect my phone to your WIFI. If it sees the WIFI, it should connect without any issues. I doubt there are any features on your router that would block an extender from seeing it. Once connected, the extender broadcasts its own WIFI signal. And it works well. I bought this for my nephew who was only getting 1mb/s download speeds for his PS4. Once installed, up and running, he was getting an average connection speed of 20mb/s. I had issues setting it up using WPS though. I recommend using the link provided in the installation manual.

- Answer I use it with Optimum Wi-Fi. It works fine and I do not see any reason why it wouldn't work with ZOOM. I wish this thing had a digital display indicating the strength of the signal.
