A:Answernot much of an answer, but a lot of cable companies are not moving to 3.1 and staying at 3.0. they must be worried about fiber, which can do TV and phone too. at least it did in my last house.
A:AnswerI called 2 cable companies and they told me customers could no longer hook up 3.0 modems to their cable systems. I was told only Docsis 3.1 32×8 with a speed of 1gbps would be supported and any interference would be charged to the customer. I would suggest calling you're cable companies to find out acceptable modems and be prepared for new technologies.
A:AnswerNo this is a modem with no routing functionality. As such you would only be able to connect one device to it at any one time. You would need to purchase a separate wifi router to connect multiple devices. I have this paired up with the NETGEAR - Nighthawk AX1800 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System in my home.
