A:AnswerMy guess is not very well, for two reasons,
1. The distance of 100' is kind of far but might work if the computer (or device) and the C7100V are line of sight.
2. The metal building acts as a "faraday cage" that effectively shields a computer (or other device) in the building from all radio waves.
As a test, you might try a weak FM radio signal outside the metal building and then inside the metal building.
That will give you a hint.
Good luck.
A:AnswerIt’s a modem/router combo that adds a port for a home phone. To use for internet, you need to have Comcast Xfinity internet cable installed in your home and subscribe to Comcast Xfinity. The home phone connection is merely an add on feature.
A:AnswerWhile having no issues with my new Night Hawk (I have had it for a month with no issues) , In the past though I have had similar signal issues with a surfboard SB6141 modem resulting from a bad splitter. If you have any signal splitters between the incoming cable and the Night Hawk replace them with a new one. Dont buy a cheap one from the dollar store, spend $10 and buy quality. I use splitters from Extreme Broadband Engineering. Once I replaced the signal splitter I never had that issue again. Apparently the bad signal splitter was causing so much noise the cable modem would think it was getting a reset signal every now and then. Even though the splitter was bad the cable tv picture was fine, but it was causing corrupt signals to the cable modem.
A:AnswerMy router is on my main level, so I bought two extenders one for the top floor and the bottom floor. This router is pretty powerful and they weren't really needed but I got them to be safe. I bought the netgear wall plug ins and they work perfectly. I believe other extenders will work with it also, but Best Buy associates can help you answer any questions even if your buying on line with a chat.
A:AnswerI do think that it will work for business Comcast. The only limitation that might not work is the speed of the modem for Business Comcast which I am not sure what that speed is for business Comcast. I believe that the limit for the modem is 640 gigabytes per second.
A:AnswerThe home security bit comes with a cable modem and router in one. You have to use it so Comcast can configure what they need to. You can daisy chain any other wifi router into that unit for privacy of your wifi.
