• A:Answer I had a similar problem and the way I finally "fixed" it was to hold the reset button down for 30 seconds which reset the unit to factory default. You'll have to go through the setup of the modem again but at least it worked .... for me anyway.

Q: QuestionComcast triple play & have a Kindle with wifi from the house hooked up with a wifi extender to reach the Kindle that is about 500 to 1000 feet from the router on the 2nd floor in the front of the house. Could this replace the extender still reach Kindle.

• A:Answer There are two challenges with what you are trying to do. This device simply pulls in the signal from the router, it doesn't duplicate or broadcast the signal further as your range extender is doing. To get the best results, you would need this USB adapter plugged directly into the Kindle. Since this uses USB 3.0 I'm not sure how you would accomplish that as the Kindle doesn't have a USB 3.0 plug. Second, the suggestion I would make is look at the type of main router you have. If its AC1900 or better, with the spacing you suggest you should be able to get pretty good signal without the range extender.

• A:Answer Yes it is, however the router says is capable of speeds of up to 1.3GB and I am not seeing that even though my modem is kicking out those speeds. I would not buy a Netgear product. They have very poor tech support
