- Answer yes The router is compatible with wireless n protocols. It has an additional 2 bands for other devices on 2.4 and 5g. This may be a little more than you need if you only operate on n.

- Answer Yes you can if you have charter internet service. Remember your router is only as good as your service to the router. If you hook up a 24 megabyte service and try to run multiple devices at the same time you may struggle to keep from buffering. However if you hook up a 100mb service to the same router you will most likely not have any trouble at all depending on your distance from the router to each device. Hope this helps.

- Answer Try Melins latest firmware (68_4 I think) . I use it for OpenVPN P2MP at 3 sites, It works pretty well and im running 256-bit encryption.

QuestionI currently live in a 4 bedroom house with roommates. A roommate in each room. Each have the modern smart TVs, each have both PS4 and Xbox1s, each have phones. But the internet sig is starting to suck bad to where I can’t even play. Will this help??

- Answer I would say both yes and no. Depends on if your the only one using your PS4 or xbox1 at the moment. Even the greatest of routers will be laggy if all of you are playing at once on the same router.

- Answer Yes you can! I did the exact same thing with my spectrum router/modem. It gives step by step instructions to shut off the modem router provided by Comcast and hooks up directly to your modem. The new router becomes your main source for providing wifi and internet. Usually cable company modem/routers are limited or cannot even provide the speed strength they are advertising. You will not be disappointed!

- Answer Yes, but I would recommend turning OFF the wi-fi on your Summit Broadband modem/router and just using the Netgear Router's wi-fi. If you click on Summit's "Support" link on their website, then select "Internet", there are a number of frequently asked questions (FAQ) with answers and one of them is direcctly related to using your own router with their broadband service. Also, be sure you secure your own router with a strong wi-fi password. Do NOT leave it unsecured.

- Answer I would pair with your brand choice of at least a gigabyte modem. If you have a less capable modem, you may want to get the slightly less capable 1750 series router.
