This lower priced set comes with rbs20 satellites with only 2 ports and only 4 attennas versus the rbs40 satellite that have 4 ports and 6 antennas. Rbs40 comea with the $399 systwm. Net gear did this to.provide a scalable system that is priced for the averge user. The tech soecs lisyed in this add are incorrect saying it has 11 ports. The rbs20 satellites are normally boxed with the rbk23 system where the router and satellites are scaled down.

Please try again later.So two months ago someone noted that the satellites with this system are RBS20’s which means only two ports, yet ALL this website shows is RBS40 four port satellites. When you compare, it says that the system comes with 11 Ethernet LAN ports, 3 on the router and 4 each on the satellites. It comes with only 7 ports, 3+2+2. That is deceptive advertising. It also says Best Buy Exclusive, but you can get this package at lots of places. If it came with the four port units, it would be better than other peoples. I checked the packaging and find that it is marked correctly. We should get partial refunds, since it is not as advertised.

This is not a huge problem, but if you need more wired connectivity from a satellite location you are probably looking to invest $20-30 for a 5-port gigabit switch. Just connect the switch to an open port on the satellite and connect the rest of your devices to the switch.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Each satellite only has 2 ethernet ports. The router has 4 but one of them connects it to your internet source (cable modem, etc.) so you really only have 3 additional ports.
