Yes you can, just buy a single satellite. Save money by buying the largest grouping you think you may need.

The house is 2000 square feet and it works fine for my house. So even though I don't have need to add a another satellite you can add one if need to be. According to the user manual it says: Optional Orbi Add-On Satellite LEDs You can purchase add-on Orbi satellites (sold separately) and add them to your Orbi network.
