I have the router upstairs next to the modem and the satellite downstairs next the the tv while the second sat is in the exercise room next to garage. Strong signal everywhere
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it will work. If you find out that it doesn’t really work, you should be able to take it back to the store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will, but you must place a satellite router upstairs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works great in our 2 story house. Base is in basement and then one relay on main floor and one upstairs. We also get good WiFi outside. It really depends on how big your house is.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on the type of building you have. If the basement ceiling isn’t cement slab with a lot of rebar, and you don’t have large obstacles like laundry machines, central air conditioning or freezers/refrigerators (all of which interfere with WiFi signals), you should be fine. The thing to remember about these units is that they transmit circular signals. These circular patterns MUST overlap in order to provide signal throughout the house. The most common mistake people name is that they place the router at one end of the house (the base unit), and then place the satellites (the other two units) at far ends of the house. Their respective signals do not overlap, and the repetition of the signal relay fails. So, for a successful installation, you’ll want to place the router in the basement (if that’s where your modem is, then the first satellite directly above your basement on the ground floor, and then your second satellite above that on the first floor (or perhaps off to one side or another). Imagine each Orbi unit emits a disk-shaped signal. Those disk need to overlap with each other. A diagram in the instructions explains this very well. Good luck!
