QuestionDoes it hold charge or have to be plugged in to run. And how long does it hold charge?

- Answer Need to plug it into a 120 volt or 12 volt plug to run it or you buy a battery for another $150 that would run the cooler for 5 hours and if you put a 100 watt solar panel it will keep the battery charge during the day and run the cooler all day on a sunny day I hope I answered your question I love it !!

- Answer That answer should be in the description somewhere but I believe its empty weight is between 30 or 40 pounds if I'm not mistaken. But it does have an extendable handle and wheels to make pushing or pulling it around much easier, so the weight really becomes a non-issue (unless you got to lift it).

QuestionWhat type of solar setup would you recommend? How would you hook up to 12v battery?

- Answer I cannot answer the solar connection question as I don't have (or can't find) the proper adapters to make that connection. But I can tell you that the cooler does come with a vdc connector cable which utilizes the round socket thing and that connection powers the fridge cooler quite well; even keeps the freezer section frozen.

QuestionIf I have a charged battery in the unit and also plugged in to 12v or AC, does it run from the plug-in and automatically switch to battery when other power is cut off? When plug-in power is restored, does it recharge the installed battery? Thanks.
