The longest cable I have installed is 100 ft. There is no difference in quality between the 60ft and 100ft cables. The quality depends on your cameras. I do recommend the 1080p over the 720 cameras. If there is no cuts in the video cables you should be able to run longer cables with no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you install a camera further than 60 ft. from your DVR, Night Owl strongly recommends powering that camera with its own camera power adapter. Meaning having to connect the camera to a power source near the location its installed with its own power adapter. As a general rule, cameras utilizing BNC cable can be installed up to 200 ft. from the DVR. Thanks for choosing Night Owl.
