- Answer Your Night Owl device only needs to be connected to a modem/router if you wish to view it remotely on a PC/MAC or a Smart Device. To remotely view your system, you must manually connect an Ethernet cable from your modem/router to the DVR/NVR. If you do not want remote viewing, you can connect the system to a TV or monitor to view live video feed and recordings. Thanks for choosing Night Owl!

- Answer yes but only 1 way... they can hear you... the quality of human faces is horrible... lights are NOT bright... it seems cheaply made, selling for higher cause it has a light, siren and app... you cant adjust much of anything except brightness and most of this you have to do through the app, not the dvr which is stupid

- Answer The cameras have a speaker to play an included message or a siren sound. They have no microphone to record sound and I don't believe there is a provision to record sound.

- Answer Yes. This system works with our Night Owl Protect App for remote viewing from your mobile Smart Device. You can download it in the App Store or Google PlayStore. Please refer to your product manual at the following link for more information. - Answer The built in light is not enough to give great lighting. There is some color, but you are more likely to simply see everything recorded in Night-Vision.
