The Nikon S9600 Camera has built in wireless capability, that appears to be a hybrid of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, called Eye-Fi... It will allow you to transfer pictures between the S9600 and a Smart-Phone/Tablet, (Android v4.0 and higher, as well as Apple IOS v7.x and higher, I believe.) Unfortunately, I have not been able to wirelessly transfer between the Camera and my Desktop Computer, (neither Linux, nor Windows). Also in order to connect to the Tablet/Smart-Phone, you must download the "Wireless Mobility Adapter Utility" for Android (Google-Play) or Apple-iOS (Apple/iTunes Store). You will then link your Smartphone to the S9600's "SSID" which you can find in the Wi-Fi Current Settings from the Menu Option/Button. The SSID will be "NikonS9600xxxyyyzz" (no quotes). Basically the Nikon Camera Model, with maybe the Serial number appended at the end. The default DHCP Server IP Address will be 192.168.0.10, with a Subnet-Mask of 255.255.255.0... Once you have the Wireless Mobility App installed on the Smart-Phone/Tablet, just look for the "NikonS9600xxxyyyzz" SSID and connect/link to it. Not only will you be able to see and download the pictures, you can also take pictures remotely with the Mobility App.
