“Kids/sports photo advice I need to know how to best use/set up camera for sports and kids-moving/action. I know it has auto settings on the dial but I want to know how to set up the M,P,A settings on the dial so that I get even better pics. I can't find the answer anywhere.”

You will need to research further on how to control those settings since it’s very extensive and also by practicing you can achieve better photos. Mean while just keep using the scene mode for Sports or set your camera for “P” (program).
