“I am stuck between getting a Nikon D3100 and a Nikon coolpix p500. i thought that the nikon D3100 is better because it is more expensive. The nikon coolpix p500 isn't a slr camera so i am not sure. And what is better for clearer shots for like modeling.”

It will be a good an idea that you compare the specifications of both cameras side by side to see which one will fits your needs.
