- Answer If you pair the camera with iPhone/Android phone and utilize the Nikon SnapBridge app, you can download location data to the camera. The downside is you have to remember to do this before you start and if you change locations you then have to download the location data at the new location after you get there. (So it isn’t automatic)

- Answer Yes. The lens which work on the D5100 should also work on the D7500. I myself have both of these and switch out the lens between them quite often.

QuestionI have a Nikon D40x, and I want to upgrade to the D7500. I have a few AF-S DX lenses that I would like to use. Do you know if they would be compatible and the auto-focus would work?

- Answer Short answer: My understanding is that if it has the “S” it should work. Long answer: If the lens is just AF (without the -S) then it might not work. If I recall correctly the AF ones have a literal screw socket along the edge of the lens which the camera has to have the “screwdriver” part to do the auto focusing. But the AF-S ones will work fine with the D7500.
