A:AnswerThe image circle cast by the DX lens will not cover a full frame sensor, so the camera will crop out the outside edges of the frame, reducing the effective megapixels of the camera. The resulting image is about 10 megapixels for the Z6 in DX mode.

I had a hard time to decide between Sony and Nikon and just bought Nikon Z6 based on overall factors including the time of it release, cost, functions including IS, photo quality, and hand-hold, etc. I tried Sony found the following: Cost is high, hand-hold-too small for my hands, it is two years old but its auto focus is better than Nikon Z6 that has better video and very nice photo quality. Canon is out of my consideration because it lacks the image stabilization-IS, video crop affecting the video quality and price is high. Good luck!
A:AnswerI am not primarily a Canon user although I own and still use both a Canon point & shoot as well as a Canon 1n 35mm film camera. My experience tells me that you need to decide whether to go Canon or go Nikon or some other brand and then stick with it. The value of any camera system lies in the accumulation of lens, not bodies. The lens will always be good but the bodies change as improvements are made. I chose Nikon because I have a full assortment of lens dating back to 1967. They all still work on even the most modern Nikon body. That is the beauty of the Nikon system. Canon, on the other hand started over when the auto focus became the way to go and previous manual focus Canon lens would not work or even fit on Canon auto focus cameras. Today, it is a battle between Sony, Canon, Nikon and Panasonic/Olympus over the mirrorless camera systems. I chose Nikon because of their dedication to keeping backward compatibility with all previous lens. There will be minor improvements over time and one or the other brand will pull ahead momentarily, but in the long run, they are all about the same in performance. I did notice that the mirrorless Canon lens are different from the Canon auto focus lens so they may be making another big change that is not backward compatible.
A:AnswerIf you are looking for a native lens for the Z6 Mirrorless camera, we would recommend looking into the NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S as this is the widest angle Z mount lens we have currently available. You would also be able to pair this camera with the FTZ Adapter and use any wide angle F mount Nikon lens without losing any image quality.
A:AnswerYes it can but it would be best (voice recording) if you purchase a add on microphone. I recently did a wedding on the beach and picked up most of the background noise, ocean, waves, seagulls, etc... hard to actually hearing the Deacon during the services. Great Camera & Good luck.
A:AnswerYes, Features include -10 negative setting to +10 aptitude quality. Mini lkug output/input for 1 microphone for outstanding audio pick-up. Goodluck!
A:AnswerYes, it does very good video. It will do up to 4K 30fps, as well as 1080p up to 120 fps. It's the best video Nikon has put into a still/video hybrid camera. It's even better than the Z7 on that front. This is one serious video camera.
