A:AnswerThey seem to post ONE switch at a time randomly a few times a day. I use an app called "The Tracker App" and this app can give you a push notification on your phone whenever they have it in stock. From there, you just need to try to check out with the pre order as fast as you can. "Sorry, we just found out this item is out of stock" usually means "you can't buy this yet, keep trying" so just checkout and refresh until it lets you purchase. If later in the checkout process it tells you "your item is sold out" or "the item is unavailable for this shipping method, please try another" that usually means someone else bought it already. Because there is only one available and lots of people are trying to get it, you need to complete the checkout quickly. It helps to save your shipping info and purchase info on a best buy account. I managed to snag ONE pre order in 6 days of trying. Good luck!
A:AnswerI recently spoke with a representative and he told me that this item will be restocking soon, but with the pandemic going on, they don’t have an estimate of exactly when it’s restocking. So I would suggest just checking back often! or saving this item so you get notified when this item is back.
A:AnswerOther countries aren't giving the game for free.
I'll use the UK as an example. Is the UK, retail price for a Switch is £279. Retail price for a full switch game (a $60 game in the US) is £50. The bundle is being sold there for £329. In other words, to get the special console you are forced to ALSO buy the digital version of the game. Some people don't like digital versions of games.
The way Nintendo of America is doing it is actually better for consumers who prefer physical copies.
To answer your second question, although I think it's irrelevant after the above answer: Switches are region-free, meaning you should have no issues playing games you buy here on a Switch you bought from another country. However, there might be issues if you have problems with your switch and need repairs, as Nintendo of America MAY not deal with Switches sold in other countries. I'm uncertain of their policies with that.
In short, just know you're not being screwed over by then not including the game as a download code with the console. You're actually being given the option of buying the physical version instead.
A:AnswerUpdate: I spoke to a representative this morning and he said that they will be continuously restocking this item, but they don't know when they'll be getting the next shipmen. :) I hope this helps!
A:Answeri just talked to a representative a bit ago today and they said that they are going to restock it soon and they’ll have more of them soon! hopefully it’s in the next couple weeks
A:AnswerI am also having this issue. I have talked with Best Buy over chat two times, and one person told me preorders would open last night, and another person told me Best Buy wouldn’t get more until release date. So I think they don’t have actual answers.
A:AnswerBecause the other countries also raised the price of the console to include the game's price. So if the game were included in the US, the bundle would be priced at $359.99 (Switch + game cost).
Nintendo of America did the consumer-friendly thing by NOT bundling them and allowing those who prefer physical games to purchase it that way.
A:AnswerIt will restock around end of May early June.
I chatted with a Best Buy representative and they said it won’t be until next month we will see a full restock.
A:AnswerSome people have said that this is to be restocked at the beginning of April, but I've seen a few who have said it won't be restocked. No one knows for sure, but I doubt Best Buy would keep this item up if they weren't restocking, so I would check back every now and then.
A:AnswerYes-- constantly. Extremely frustrating. I get as far as it saying that its in my cart and that my items are being reserved yet it still kicks it out of my order.
A:AnswerI just talked to a customer service agent online and they told me that they are waiting for a confirmation from the manufacturer to purchase online. They didn't give me any time frame when it would be available.
A:AnswerI'm assuming i'm just like you and missed the pre-order for everywhere. Within the last few days I have been checking back on all the sites seeing if it had been restocked. When I checked back tonight (2/9) on Best Buy, the "coming soon button" was no longer there and in its place was a pre-order button, it took a few tries to get through the check out process without the site saying the item was out of stock, but I was finally able to secure a pre-order. I would definitely check back often and see if the pre-order button is there, hope this helps!
A:AnswerI just spoke to a BestBuy person and they said that they don't know when it is going to be in stock. Whenever they get more switches from the warehouse is when they will restock. They also said to check from around 8 am- 12 pm est. as that is usually when they get all of their shipments. I have been personally looking for this switch for around 3 weeks now and have only seen it come back in stock twice :(
A:AnswerHello! I recently spoke with a representative from Best Buy and I was told that this is not a special edition console, and that it will be continuously restocked just like the other special editions! No one knows when the restock will happen, though, so just keep checking and be patient. I hope this helps!
A:AnswerWell when the spiderman ps4 pro released, I didn’t get a preorder, but on the day of the release of the console, bestbuy put up more for sale, so I figure they would do the same thing here. And from what I remember they had a lot of the extra consoles on the day of release
