- Answer Everything depends how old you need to be more specific do you mean that you don't have hdmi? If so you can get an adapter rca converter to hdmi so from tv to the adapter and from the adapter to the shield better if you have a home theater.

- Answer That depends entirely upon the software you install. If you have a streaming service like Hulu or Fubo or YoutubeTV that has your local channels then yes. But it doesn't not just have random tv channels available.

- Answer It does have Bluetooth for you to connect anything that has Bluetooth. But you would have to find apps to help you see your cable channels on the Nvidia shield.. Some cable companies like dish network have their own app which you can install into the Nvidia shield.

- Answer If it has an HDMI plug, but I think you would need to go to the TV first and from your TV Onkyo, so you can see what app your going into, weather its Pandora or Spotify, Netflix, ect. Only has Hdmi hook up, 2 usb, and ethernet and power no digital optical

- Answer Boxes like this do not work like that. If you have Plex installed, it will allow you to use the Plex DVR feature to record any of the plex streaming channels, but it doesn't connect to your cable box to record video in that way.

- Answer If the Harmony is using IR control, then it will not control the Shield without an additional IR receiver that connects to the USB port. The Shield doesn't have a built in IR receiver. If the Harmony is capable of Bluetooth, then it most likely will work with the Shield.
