A:AnswerI'm not sure what you mean but I think I can guess. Setup wants ONLY HDMI 1 on your TV. Once you do that you can choose any input. My Recivere out comes into HDMI 2 on myy TV since this is the ARC port. It works great as does ARC and control with my TV remote. However setup did want HDMI one. Now it shows the on screen menu on HDMI 2.
A:AnswerNot sure what you mean by pair. If you mean will it connect to Bluetooth probably since it has a Bluetooth receiver. Why you would want to do that instead of using a HDMI connection that transmits both video and audio, I don't know. Bluetooth only sends audio.
A:AnswerYes there is a manual available follow the link bellow to down load the pdf.

A:AnswerI just bought a new Onkyo TX Sr393 at Best Buy, It was to replace my old Onkyo SR 605. This old one was changing the sound mode by itself and I couldn’t update the software without send back to an authorized repair shop. That and it only had 2 hdmi ports. I just got a Firestick 4K and I needed at least 3 ports. The new receiver looked like it had plenty of power and goods specs. However, I can’t make the Fire Stick 4K to pass through on the 3rd port. The worst is the sound. It has plenty of bells and whistles but for the life of me I can’t get to sound anything like the old one. I kept the new one too long to take back. The new one was cheap. $225. I mentally forgot that you get what you what you pay for.
So, I would recommend a higher end Onkyo or a Pioneer or Yahama. Good luck.
A:AnswerI'm sorry, but I can't be of any help. I had Geek Squad come and install my new system, which included TV, receiver and Blue Ray. If you belong to Best Buy Tech Program, it only costs $49 for them to come out and fix the problem.
A:AnswerYou can use a passive subwoofer but the passive subwoofer will need it's own amp.
The chain would look like this:
- RCA Subwoofer out from Onkyo to RCA in on amplifier
- Speaker wire from Amplifier to passive subwoofer
It's also worth noting there are virtually NO A/V Receivers that have amplification for the sub channel. This is a good thing as it offloads the biggest power requirement to a different amp and takes the burden off the receiver.
A:AnswerYes, this AVR supports 5.2 sound channels, meaning you can connect it to 1 center, 2 front and 2 rear speakers and 2 subwoofers. You can choose not to connect the subwoofers, and just have 5 speaker surround sound.
