QuestionWhat model diplexer does Mastec use to combine the Orby satellite assembly output and the uhf vhf antenna output onto one cable? If it’s not to much trouble I’d like to know the specifications off of the diplexer.

- Answer The diplexer included in the self-install kit is an Aspen 500249, which may or may not be what their installers use, but I'm guessing that for economy-of-scale, the professional installers are supplied with the very same kit of parts. QuestionHow many dB does the ORBY DVR make? I’ve owned/leased a handfull with different providers & manufactures. Two out of six have been very difficult to sleep through when used in the bedroom & were moved to a diffent room or returned prematurely.

- Answer It is fanless, so no noise there. And I'm not sure if it uses a mechanical or solid state drive, but I've heard no noise from mine, even when playing or recording with the DVR

- Answer No wifi or internet. Just the dish and a box. No refunds for service if it does not work.

QuestionDoes the Orby DVR support 4K, I have a central panel going to my 4 TVs using 1 in and 4 out splitter. Does Orby TV need only 1 line from the Satellite dish to my panel or 4 direct lines from the satellite dish to the panel for each tv that has a box.

- Answer You can use a splitter to split the signal from the dish to each box that is connected to each TV.

QuestionThe typical local channels are fairly easy to get with my existing antenna i.e. 16-1 and 2 WBOC and FOX 21, the one we have trouble with is 47 WMDT, will we get a good clear continuous channel 47 with your set up ? Thanks Mike

- Answer So if Orby is not going out of business how are you suppose to activate the receiver? The website won't let you get on your account... can't purchase a self install kit or anything as far as that goes.. can't contact them in any form... nobody is being charged for service on their auto-pay account...Yes they are going out of business...Why would you remove ALL of your social media accounts if you weren't going under???..Dream on..THEY ARE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!!!! BEST BUY SHOULDN'T BE SELLING A PRODUCT THAT YOU CAN'T USE AND BEST BUY KNOWS IT...

- Answer Yes, there's a program guide on the remote. Either the DVR or just a receiver. I think the mobile app just lets you know what channels are available.

QuestionThis is a two-part question: 1) can you play a recorded episode/movie on another Orby receiver and 2) if so, does it also have to be a DVR? In other words, does Orby offer whole home dvr service?

- Answer As it was explained to me, there is no whole house DVR. Every program needs it's own receiver/DVR and there is an additional install charge. Just think long and hard as I dumped it after 3 months. It would have been 2 months but for the fact that I forgot to call for cancellation on time.
