Hi! This model is not an amplified telephone. It has however a clarity booster feature, which can improve sound clarity when the handset is used in an area where there may be interference, and a noise reduction feature which allows you to hear the voice of the person you are talking to more clearly, by reducing the surrounding noise coming from the other party’s telephone. -G
