Q: QuestionHow does it work if power outlet is hot all the time
Asked by Rabbit.
- A:Answer You have to find a "Switched" 12 volts. The "BATT" connection is for an always on 12 volts. The other connection must have a switched Voltage. When you turn on the ignition, the little black box knows to change from "Parked" mode to "Normal" mode.

Q: QuestionHow this thing work during parking
Asked by Andy.
- A:Answer This thing Works by having two 12 v supplies....one is switched one is constant.... The constant supply is for the parked mode and the switched is for the driving mode. When you turn the ignition "on" the camera is always on and recording. When you turn the ignition off...the camera enters parking mode and only records when motion is detected. When you return to your vehicle and start the car you are given the option of viewing the park mode video.

Q: QuestionJust hardwired the cable. They did not run the battery wire straight to the batter but to something in my fuse box that constantly has power 12volts. When in parking mode it doesn’t appear that it is charging or staying on to record. What should I do?
Asked by Renee.
- A:Answer The connections should be as follows. One to the ground, any ground will do. One to the battery. And one to something switched. The reason is that once you turn your car off, the switched power cuts out. That is what triggers the parking mode. You can set the voltage cut out by opening the device and changing the jumper. But u must have that battery wire hot at all times. Otherwise it will not work properly.
