QuestionFirst I get that this is a wireless charging shaver. But do you also have the ability to plug it into a conventional wall charger ?

- Answer No. The wireless shaver does not have a receptacle for a connector to a charger. The bottom has an empty hole. A shame actually, I guess they wanted to save money. The charging pad works well though, just large and heavy if you are traveling a lot. But it only uses around 6% battery per shave for me so it should last a long time. I had my new S9000 Prestige for 2 weeks now and have not recharged it yet. 'Works well. For longer trips a small plug in charger would have been really nice. I would have paid extra but not an option. Why don't they ask consumers for advice on products. At this price point cost is no longer the object, performance and convenience is paramount.

- Answer No the shaving heads have changed, they are much better than they have ever been. Look I am 66 years old and all my life I have used Norelco shavers and I can tell you this is one of the best shaves I have ever had.

- Answer Yes, the shaver is totally waterproof and supports both wet-shave and dry-shave uses. If shaving creams or soap is used with a wet-shave, the instructions recommend cleaning the shave-heads after each such use to remove soap/cream from the shave head mechanisms.

QuestionCan the razor charge with any Qi charging pad?

- Answer Yes - I've tried a couple of other Qi pads successfully. The big thing with the included pad is that it is designed to hold the razor in exactly the right position. That's the biggest challenge using a different pad.

- Answer This model (SP9860/86) does not have the charging port on the bottom so it would not work with existing cleaning stations, even if it otherwise fits.

QuestionWhat makes the s9000 any better than my lousy 5500? It shaved great for a month then the blades got duller & duller till I quit using it, cutter heads have to be replaced every 2 mo. Takes Long, heavy grinding to get decent shave. Cheap cutting heads!

- Answer I shave my entire head with a Norelco. I have done it every day for the last ten years. My wife thinks it shaves just as close as a razor cut and I have never cut myself due to my Norelco electric shaver.

QuestionHow can one take this Qi shaver if it does not have a power cord or the capability to use a power cord to charge it. This is not user friendly dragging a Qi pad with you, if one goes to the hospital for a few days stay you have to take the Qi pad with you

- Answer Yes, it came with a paper manual. It isn't large but it is quite useful. The shaver was manufactured in The Netherlands. The charging pad was made in China.
