“Does this have a battery and how do you take this apart”

Yes, of course it has a battery(rechargeable) but it cannot be taken apart without voiding the warranty.

It has a battery but is a sealed rechargeable unit

Even if u pull it apart you cant get to the battery. Its rechargeable. When its finally not charging, time to replace the unit.

I don't recall buying anything extra. I have not attempted to take it apart.
