“I just got my Philip air fryer. After running it for 10 minutes, I needed to add a few more minutes. I turned the dial to add three minutes and after a few seconds the fan stopped even though the timer kept going. Is this normal or is something wrong?”

Yes, it's "normal" in the sense that Philips used a very cheap knob. Basically, it's not accurate, especially if you turn it to less than 5 minutes. I suggest you just always turn it to 10 minutes or 15 or more and you a separate time to remind you the actual time you need.
