• A:Answer Any SSD with the 2.5" configuration will work on your laptop if it comes with a 2.5" drive from the factory. It is just a matter of swapping it out. You don't say what your s/n is and that's ok. Just go to support.dell.com and put in your express service code or serial number to get your original configuration information and see if you have a 2.5" drive. Further, remember with an SSD, defragmentation is a bad idea as it causes wear on the drive and an old OS like XP or Vista will not support the cleanup commands available from Windows 10. Good luck!

Q: QuestionWhat cables do I need to install this in a msi sword a11ud. I know sata cable but not exactly sure which exactly. I would appreciate some suggestions.

• A:Answer From looking at photos online, it looks as if you do not need any cables. The connector for the ssd is already attached to the motherboard to the left of the battery. However, If your laptop doesn't have a drive already installed in that spot, there is a possibility there is no bracket to hold the ssd in place. In this case, you would have to remove the foam padding in the spot where the ssd would be and either buy a bracket or use double sided tape to attach the drive securely. Also, don't forget to disconnect the battery AFTER opening the laptop, BEFORE attaching the ssd. Also don't forget to reattach the battery cable when finished. Good luck.
