• No, this will not work. This is 240PIN desktop memory. Your computer takes 204PIN (laptop type) memory. PNY Brand Champion

• Yes, it should work in your iMac. I've recently upgraded a MacBook Pro with a PNY memory upgrade kit (obvisouly for notebooks, as this is desktop memory), and it worked fine. Thus, I do not see any reason why this will not work in your iMac. If all else fails, if it does not work, you should be able to return it.
