- Answer I bought a Sony receiver and polk sub woofer here and they gave me a single wire audio cable. Doesn't work. If they knew anything about their own equipment they'd know there is a right and left input. Maybe somebody else had this experience.

- Answer The biggest difference is the amplifier and ohms. The PSW108 with 8 ohms has a class AB amplifier and the PSW10 with 4 ohms has a class D.

- Answer I don't think so if you keep the volume on the sub about 3/4 up it should be ok

QuestionJust bought this sub today to replace a simple Onkyo sub. However it sounds like the back of a trunk on a car with sub power it makes a soft rattling and shaking sound. And it's not speaker cover because it still makes the same sound when it's off.???

- Answer Sounds like there is something loose inside of the unit. I would call the store where it was pirchased to see how to get it repaired or exchanged for another unit.

- Answer Just like in car audio you'll have more volume of Bass, so not necessarily overkill. My one in a 2000 sq ft hard wood floor home is plenty enough, but nothing wrong with bigger. You'll feel it more, not just hear it. I worked in car audio for a decade.

- Answer No. Many people will tell you to use the right or left side RCA input. I use a 2 into 1 RCA Y Splitter Cable. I think that's why my Subs play so clearly at any volume. So I recommend using a 2 into 1 RCA Splitter Cable. It will plug into both right and left side then plug into your Subwoofer Outputs on your Receiver. I use a Yamaha TSR 7850R Receiver that has 2 Subwoofer Outputs. It's a 7.2.2 Receiver. Hope this helps?

QuestionI have a Sony strgh550 receiver and I am trying to hookup the psw108 using a subwoofer cable. No noise comes out when I use the cable but when I use speaker wire it works. How can I set it up using the subwoofer wire?

- Answer I followed the diagram in the instructions and mine worked just fine. Here are some things you might want to check. If you didn't previously have a sub woofer and used an auto setup for your receiver, could it have disabled the sub woofer output? Is it possible that the wall outlet used to power the subwoofer has no power? (The subwoofer might not need power when being driven as a speaker.) Is the subwoofer volume turned low? If you used a stereo cable to connect the receiver to the subwoofer is the color of the cable connector that plugs into the subwoofer the same as the one that plugs into the receiver? Sorry I couldn't be of much help.

- Answer connect the sub with RCA cables from the stereo then you have 2 options depending on the receiver. 1. connect the speaker wires to the stereo 2 connect the speakers to the sub.

- Answer All sound bars (tweeter & midrange speakers) need & use subs for the music lows and sound rumbles. You just need to connect the Polk to your receiver or amp via its a “Sub Out” RCA jack connection.
