- Answer You'll need an amp. Since the speakers can only handle a peak power of 100 watts, i'll suggest the Sony 2.0-Ch. Stereo Receiver with Bluetooth - Black Model: STRDH190SKU: 6187501. It has a max power of 100 watts as well.That way you don't run the risk of blowing up your speakers even if you accidental max the volume.

- Answer They work well. I have an Onkyo receiver. Set the bass @ + 4-6 and treble @ 6-8 from the receiver, crossover @100 hz or lower.
