A:AnswerIt rests on top of the dash and is bendable to conform to the curves in the dash. It has a rubbery surface on bottom which keeps it from slipping using friction and weight to hold it in place.
A:AnswerIt doesn't work on the uneven dash of the Honda CRV either. I use it in right side of the cove of the backup camera. Can't see the full right side of the screen when driving and I have to move it a little to see the whole backup screen. but I like it better there out of the sun. I can see the gps better. I also have a removable hood on the gps which cuts the sun glare on the gps screen.
The ball attachments for the gps to the bases are too expensive for the cheap plastic they are made of. The ball attachment broke on my new weighted one so i had to buy the dash mounted one. These attachment accessories should be better made and if a part breaks it should be easily replaceable.
A:AnswerGarmin Nuvi GPS navigators will have U.S. maps pre-installed. Canadian maps are available for purchase separately. 5 or 7 refers to the screen size, i.e., five inches or seven inches. I hope this helps.
