QuestionI have a Sony turntable that works well, but lost its built in amp, so I can not hear the music. If I hook the white and red cords that the turntable has on the back to just a mini phono preamp that has a volume control, is this all I need to listen.?

- Answer There is a possibility. Try using a different speakers or try to change the speaker cables to 12 or 14 gauge speaker wires.

- Answer The pre-amp works well with my turntable and receiver. It is connected with RCA plug cables between the turntable and an alt input on the receiver.

QuestionI only have an audio out and aux in on the back of the turntable/cd player/ radio I have. My powered speakers sound great with cd and radio but Terrible with turntable. With only audio out and aux in jacks can I use this to help the turntable sound?

- Answer If your turn table has RCA audio out, you can connect that to the RCA inputs of the preamp then the RCA outs of the preamp the other end goes to any RCA audio input on your powered speakers.

- Answer I'm not familiar with the Sonos port but the PP555 is a pre amp designed to amplify the turn table. So you connect the RCA outs from the turn table to the RCA inputs of the PP555 and the RCA outs connects to any Aux input on yur JVC.
