• A:Answer I didn't pay for a subscription on my previous version and I don't plan to do so with Quicken Deluxe 2019. For privacy reasons, I prefer to keep everything on my hard disk under password protection as I have with previous versions of Quicken.

Q: QuestionI have used Crown Money Map Financial Software for years. “CMMFS” I had to get a new computer and can’t load my old Crown software. Is anyone familiar with CMMFS? I wonder if Quicken is similar?

Q: QuestionI have used Quicken for the past 15 years, I got a new computer this year and had to upgrade to Quicken Deluxe 2019. Now it does not bring up the previous entry of the payee, it pulls up the entry made in April which is when I downloaded the new Quicken.

Q: QuestionI would like to be able to use full features software after a year w/o paying fee. I don't need auto connect to financial institution or cloud service. I basically download my transactions monthly, upload and run reports for taxes. Will this work?

• A:Answer Auto connect or manual connect, you need to connect to download transactions. Though ,I bought 2018 version, I have not installed 2018 version and I am using 2017 version. I am able to download transactions.

Q: QuestionI use VM ware using Windows 7 both on an iMac and MacBook to run Quicken 2018 for Windows. If I buy Windows 2019 for Mac and install it on the Mac alone, can I transfer the Windows Quicken data from Windows 7 to the Mac Quicken 2019?

You can’t share the same file between Windows and Mac at the same time, but you can convert your Quicken for Windows file to Quicken for Mac: https://www.quicken.com/support/converting-quicken-windows-quicken-mac-2016 In addition, if you have an active subscription for Quicken for Windows, you don’t need to buy an additional copy of Quicken for Mac; if you sign into your account at Quicken.com, you should see the option to download both the Windows and Mac versions of the subscription product. • A:Answer I would think so, but if your new computer has a USB port, you can use a flash drive to transfer the data. I back up this way all the time on my PC and I transferred information to a new computer this way.

• A:Answer Basically it is a subscription purchase. You can either purchase the disc or download version of the program. That comes with the one year (or 14 months if you get the promotion) full use of the program after which you will need to renew or purchase again to have full function.
