I think the ease of doing this will depend on specifically which older version you are using. They will be able to specify the steps you need to take to migrate from your old to new software.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have never done this, so I am not sure. But I would assume you could do this using Time Machine on your old Mac. The best way to find out is to contact Apple Customer Service and they will tell you if this can be accomplished.
