- Answer Hi Bob, Thanks for your question, All reMarkable devices will receive the latest software updates for free. We carry out our software rollouts gradually over several weeks so that any minor issues or bugs in the new release can be ironed out. This means that not all users will receive the update at the same time. If you’ve enabled automatic updates, it'll automatically update to the latest software once it’s available. /Andreas

- Answer Hi Andy! While the reMarkable is perfect for sketching and drafting diagrams, it doesn’t have an automatic conversion feature to create polished digital diagrams. A common approach is to use it for brainstorming and then export your sketches as a PDF or image to reference when creating the final version in a diagramming program.

- Answer Nope. You get 8gb of storage which, for a device this expensive, should immediately disqualify it from being considered as a purchase. There's no microSD card slot, and if you want to sync everything, it's a monthly sub on top of the several hundred dollars you spent on the device.

- Answer I wouldn't recommend this device to literally anyone. Sluggish performance, proprietary ecosystem, ridiculously limited storage, and sync locked behind a paywall subscription. You'd be better off with an ipad.

QuestionHow does integration with one drive work? For example if I were to pull up a word document on my onedrive on this device and mark it up with my notes will it show up as typed text or handwritten text when I then open up the word file on my computer?

- Answer Never tried it with a word doc - I don't even think this useless thing opens .docx files - but opening a pdf from OneDrive basically copies it to the device's internal storage, which means changes will NOT be synced across other devices.

- Answer Hi there! Currently, we do not have built-in AI features for summarizing your notes directly on the device. However, if you convert your handwritten notes to text, you could potentially use third-party AI tools or apps on other devices to summarize that text, but you'll have to export it first into another device.
