- Answer Hello! No, the R4 only supports up to 4 cameras. However, if you would like to disable some of the camera views, there is an option to do so within the menu under "resolution". QuestionIf the camera is just hooked up to the battery, does it constantly pull power from the battery even when the car is off? My car is a 2021 Corolla, my battery was pretty low to begin with but when I tried starting it today, it was at 8V and couldn't start.

- Answer Hello If the dashcam is mounted through the hardwire kit, it will need a tiny bit of power in order to get the sensor ready. Please note that it should not be enough to drain your vehicle's battery. This typically hints at a problem with installation. Please look at one of our instructional videos on how to set up the hardwire kit. Alternatively, you can provide power to the dashcam by using the provided cigarette socket charger that came in the box.

- Answer I cut open the cable found the video wires and put in rac to it pluged it in to the radio. then find you back up light wire in the car and when you put your car in R the dispay will show. they dont tell youi how you just have to cowboy it,

Questionhow well can the cameras see through tinted windows. will the image be darkened. i had a rexing 3 system in a previous truck that was destroyed in a crash. R3 had no problem with tint. image was perfectly clear.

QuestionIt turns on when I start the truck no problem but it takes like 20-30 minutes to shut off on it’s own so your answer is not correct it’s plugged into the cigarette lighter port in the directions it also says that it will turn on and off installed this way

- Answer Hi! Some vehicle's do not lose power completely for some time after the vehicle is shut off. It may be that your cigarette lighter port works this way. Power via the cigarette lighter is different for all vehicles. Some shut off with the ignition, some are constant, and some don't lose power after some time.

- Answer Hello! The R4 does not have a way to detect motion by itself but if you purchase the Intelligent hardwire kit. It will come with a motion sensor that will allow the dashcam to be able to pick up on movements while your vehicle is parked. - Answer Hello! Unfortunately, if the dashcam was not connected to the fuse box through a hardwire kit, you would not be able to make use of the parking mode features. It is a shame the technician did not want to install the hardwire kit!

- Answer Hello! Due to this law, we would recommend purchasing a different type of dashcam as these are carefully designed to mount to the windshield. Otherwise, the dashcam would not be as great as it could be! Perhaps the CPDuo, since it can be mounted on the dashboard, would be a better suited camera for you.

- Answer Hello! It is possible that vendors may have a system to check the size and length of units and compare them to the inside of your vehicle. Please note that this is not a 100% foolproof way of knowing if it would be compatible. However, the R4 is quite versatile and it should fit most vehicles without any problems.

- Answer I think it's optional. I was stopped by a police officer and the side camera recorded it. I think the main function of those cameras is to record on the side of the windows.

- Answer Hello! The R4 has a screensaver feature that will automatically turn off the display after some time of inactivity. This will keep all operations working but it will turn off the display.
