Q: QuestionHow far apart can the sensor and magnet be to remain effective? I have decorative trim on my door that will require the sensor to be about 5/8" - 1" apart.

• A:Answer The space between the Contact Sensor and the Magnet is 1 inch or less. When you open the door or window, you see the LED flash green (and hear the chirp tone, if enabled). There needs to be ½ inch of space around the Sensor so you can slide it open to replace the batteries.

Q: QuestionAre the holes on the back of the motion detector for screws so that you can screw the motion detector into drywall? I don’t want to mount it into the wall all using the adhesive backing strip.
