QuestionI want to buy the ring hard wired camera with flood lights. I’m trying to find out how bright the flood lights are. How many lumens are they. I’m also looking to light up my back yard. Are they bright enough or do I need to add additional flood lights ?

- Answer The 240V comes from Best Buy's website. It is a bit misleading. According to a Ring rep, the internal power supply is rated up to 240V. As everyone else points out, it works fine at 120.

- Answer no - the ring has it's own network - and you can share with your neighbors - we do not - there is a small yearly fee...can't remember - but its worth it

QuestionCan a Ring Floodlight be set to turn on only by switch? Can you turn the motion detector off? I get the premise of having a motion detecting flood light. However, if I just want to use it occasionally, is there a setting to turn off the Motion sensor?

- Answer Yes, you may turn off sensor. You may also set the light for certain times if you want.

QuestionHow far will these cameras reach for viewing purposes to see motion or objects, if one is on my house aimed at garage in back yard, how many feet away can it detect something?

- Answer We just installed both the wired spotlight camera and ring doorbell. And we are very happy with the results. I have a fairly large corner lot and motion detector reaches beyond our yard. Both units are amazing also at the wide angle they reach. We actually have to make the perimeters smaller so as not to be alerted at all the activity going on beyond our yard. 100% would purchase again.

Questionit seems there are 2 models of these lights. I am interested in the ones that work with both 2.4 and 5 ghz. the ring doorbell uses both and I need to be sure to find the correct ones, most show 5 ghz on the packaging

- Answer No, you won't have any issue with the Nighthawk dual band router. You won't have to change any settings on your router or network.

- Answer Hi cjay1218, Ring products will work in freezing temperatures and are resistant to rain. In general, Ring doorbells and Cam products with batteries are rated for operating temperatures between -5 to 120 degrees F. (-20 to 50 degrees C.).
