Connect the orange micro-USB charger(included in the box) to the charging port in the battery. During charging both the red and green lights will light up.     • Answer The battery life depends on the settings that you have it on. If you set the camera to where it records frequently and has a longer record time, then your battery will die faster. If you set it to the recommended settings as put forth by ring, then your battery should last about 2 months. The battery comes with it and is rechargeable.

    • Answer You don't need an Amazon account but it is compatible with Alexa if you have/had one. I set up my camera on the ring app with no problems. My Alexa detected the camera but I chose not to set it up with Alexa
