• Yes. Wherever you buy ring products (bell, cams, sensors...etc) you have to subscribe to ring recording and protection plan for $10 a month ($100 a year).

• You should. Bestbuy seems to be an authorized Amazon seller that they match prices. I bet they offer the same protection.
