Pro can be used if you have a dedicated power source, like an existing doorbell. I own both the Ring Pro, front door, and Ring 2 (two side gates). Biggest challenge I had with the Pro is the WiFi connection. It was very weak so I am wondering if the WiFi card in the pro is perhaps not as powerful as the Ring 2. I purchased a WiFi satellite and positioned it closer to the Ring Pro. No issues any longer. Highly recommend Ring Pro or Ring 2.
