The original Ring is now $99 so the price difference is even greater. But the Ring 2 is much faster, better video quality, and has a replaceable battery. Totally worth the price difference. Our original Ring worked so slow that the UPS guy would be back in his truck before my phone app rang. And the built in battery in the original Ring is bad after only 2 years.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The first Ring Doorbell had to be completely removed to charge the battery. The Ring 2 has a battery compartment you open up, remove just the battery and charge it.
