A:AnswerI am not sure if this will help your situation, but the Ring Video Doorbell 2 can also be wired. That way you would not have to worry about the battery draining down while you were away. You still have to have internet, so if the power would go out, your camera wouldn't work anyhow. I hope this helps.

I wish I’d bought a different brand - I’ve tried all of the different settings and talked to support, but the motion detection is worthless. It’s infrared, not a true motion sensor. Most days I’ll walk by it and in my house and it won’t trigger an alert.
