    • Answer Hi Carol. Thank you for your question today! While most of our devices can be mounted using the same screw holes, some are a different size and require new screw holes. If you have a Ring doorbell with a removable battery and you are replacing it with a newer model with a removable battery the same hole can be used. Alternatively, if you are replacing your battery doorbell with a wired doorbell, new holes may need to be drilled as the wired devices are smaller without needing the battery.
