• Oh yes, after a month, u have to pay $3 a month or u can’t even record or see any video from the ring. The only thing u can see is live view of what is currently happening when u have the app open.

• Not unless you want it. There are benefits to the plan, such as storage of videos. The cost of the basic plan is $30 for the year. It still works without the plan, but you don't get temporary storage of the videos.

• I did not purchase it but Ring gives you a free trial of two different packages for recording videos generated by the Ring camera. $3 and $10 per month. You are not required to purchase these packages.
