• You can get the ring doorbell in either battery or wired versions. My neighbor has the battery one and is highly satisfied with the unit and the length of time between when he has to charge the battery. He does say that the battery is easy to get in and out.

• The ring pro does not come with a battery pack. It needs to be wired in. There are other versions of the ring do have battery packs.
